Brooklyn Enterprise Center of The Local Development Corporation of East New York

Founded in 1918, the Brooklyn Chamber of Commerce is a business assistance and economic development organization dedicated to helping businesses grow and to promoting the economic development of Brooklyn. The Brooklyn Chamber has over 1100 members, including local, regional and national businesses with customers or business interests in neighborhoods across the borough.  The Chamber's membership mirrors the Brooklyn business community.  New York City College of Technology SBDC 

  The New York City College of Technology SBDC is staffed by professionals that specialize in providing, free of charge, one-on-one counseling or workshops to new and existing businesses. Our center exists to ensure that your business is prepared for start up, growth or expansion. The SBDC services focus on the development of superior business plans and locating appropriate sources of funding, using our extensive contacts in the financial community, to expand or start our clients' enterprises. We partner with different organization among the small business community, to leverage services and to share information concerning economic development opportunities, assistance programs and other services that are available to aspiring or existing entrepreneurs.

The M/WBE Leadership Association, funded by the New York City Council, is a special group of community organizations that serve minority and women-owned businesses across New York City.  The M/WBE Leadership Association in partnership with the New York City Department of Small Business Services (SBS) educates business owners about the process of getting certified and the keys to success in government contracting.  The outstanding work of the M/WBE Leadership Association, across industries and in communities throughout the five boroughs, is creating real growth and economic empowerment for minority and women business owners citywide.
